How to Apply

Step 1

Complete an application form for Medicine Hat Public Schools' International Student Program.

Step 2

Send the completed form together with:

  • A copy of your birth certificate or passport
  • An English transcript (certified true) of your marks for the past two years.
  • One letter of academic reference from your principal or teacher
  • Application Fee of $100.00 in Canadian Funds by wire transfer or certified cheque payable to Medicine Hat School District No. 76.
  • Photo
  • English Test Results (if applicable)

Step 3

Medicine Hat School District will be happy to arrange a homestay placement through the Medicine Hat College. If you are interested please visit the Homestay page for more information and to complete the necessary forms.

Step 4

Upon acceptance of your application , you will be notified to pay full tuition . When tuition has been received, we will provide you with an official Letter of Acceptance to Medicine Hat School District . Guardianship Documents for those wanting a homestay placement will also be issued.

You will need this Letter of Acceptance in order to apply for a Study Permit from Citizen and Immigration Canada . You may do this through the Canadian Embassy or High Commission in your country. For more information, contact:

Step 5

Once you have your Study Visa, arrange for a plane ticket to Medicine Hat. Send a copy of your travel itinerary to us and we will meet you at the airport.
